Upcoming Camping Trip
Throughout my life, my family has gone on quite a few camping trips together. When I was younger, my parents even owned a camper, but unfortunately we were unable to keep it because of our subdivision's covenant. Even after having to sell the camper, we continued going on camping trips, but not as often. Despite this, my family has managed to maintain a yearly tradition of going on camping trips with my grandparents. During all this time, I have never gone on a camping trip without either my parents or my grandparents, but that is going to change this upcoming weekend, when I go on a camping trip with my cousin and many of his friends. I feel like this trip is going to be a great time, however I am worried about the typical adult things, especially cooking food. I know that I don't want to cook, especially not for everyone, and I have no clue who is going to end up cooking.
This camping trip is going to take place at Starved Rock State Park, which is in Illinois. I have never been there before, but based off of pictures, like the one above, it seems absolutely beautiful, so I am excited to experience a new destination with some of my friends and family.
I have never went camping, but I have spent a couple days out at Turkey Run. All three of the times I went, I had a great time. My friends and I went hiking through the trails and even canoed down a river. If Starved Rock is anything like Turkey Run, then I am sure you will have a great time!
ReplyDeleteI would also be worried about cooking as well if I was in your shoes because I have never done any cooking. Let's just hope your cousin or his friends know what they're doing.
This place looks amazing! I even searched this place and found out it's not very far from here, so I might visit this place someday. As long as you are having fun, cooking is not a problem, someone else would help you with that. Anyway, I hope you have a good time with your cousins!
