My Six Flags Experience

On Sunday, October 24th, I went to Six Flags Great America. This was probably my fifth or sixth time going to Six Flags, but my first time driving there myself. We almost couldn't have picked a worse day to go to Six Flags, seeing as it was raining the entire day. Luckily, it wasn't raining too hard for most of the day, but driving on highways in any kind of rain is scary. I had a difficult time seeing the road only a few feet in front of me, which made for an extremely stressful drive. Thankfully, I was able to make it there without any accidents or dying, so I was able to feel like I was about to die again, this time on rollercoasters instead of on the road.

Six Flags was somewhat surprisingly empty when we went, likely because of the rain. This made it very easy to ride just about every rollercoaster there in a short amount of time. We arrived at 11:30AM, and we had gone on almost every rollercoaster by about 4:30PM. My personal favorite was the American Eagle, partially because it didn't give me a headache or make me feel sick in any way, but also because a lot of funny things happened while on the ride, making it a more enjoyable and different experience than the others. We intended on going to Fright Fest, but because it was raining and we had already been there for so long, we decided to leave before Fright Fest even started. I was somewhat sad about this because I had really wanted to go to Fright Fest, but also I was saving quite a bit of money, and we also went and got ice cream instead, which I was very happy about. The drive home was about the same as the drive to Six Flags, except maybe a little worse because it was dark out, but I still made it out alive.

  1. I love when there are no long lines for the roller coasters. You get to ride whatever rides you want how ever many times you want to. I have not been to Six Flags in a while, but usually have a good time when I go. I heard Fright Fest was cool, but I have never been able to go.
