Norm Macdonald

    Norm Macdonald was one of the most well-known comedians of all time, and he is regarded as one of the best as well. Sadly, I didn't dive into his work until after he passed away, which was only a few weeks ago. Ever since his death, I have constantly found myself watching videos of his comedy. His first big break came from Saturday Night Live, where he became the show's news anchor during the Weekend Update segment, which he was later removed from. Macdonald alleged that his removal was due to his frequent OJ Simpson jokes, which seems possible because the president of NBC was friends with Simpson. This is one of the reasons why I have fallen in love with Norm's comedy. Regardless of potential backlash, Norm seemed to do and say what he thought was funny, which I have the utmost respect for.

    As much as I would love to go into detail about some of his jokes that I find the funniest, I do not believe that they are appropriate for a school blog, so if you're interested, you can watch the compilation video above! I listen to a few different comedian's podcasts, and every comedian I have listened to has loved Norm, and consider him to be one of the greatest comedians of all time. Although I wasn't a fan of Norm's before his death, I am extremely glad I have found his comedy. Even after his death, he has brought me so much joy, and I know he will do so for many other people for years to come.
