Planning Ahead

In class, we recently began working on our final projects, which I am excited for. The project is to write an argumentative essay that is at least four pages, and the topic I chose revolves around the safety of Mixed Martial Arts. It is obvious that MMA is an extremely dangerous, almost barbaric, sport, but I am excited to learn more about the actual dangers involved. As of right now, I haven't done much actual research, besides find articles that I believe I will use as a basis for my paper. Through discussion in class, we found that MMA might not be as dangerous as boxing, which I have actually heard before. My understanding is that although the strikes in boxing are typically softer, because there is more padding, the amount of strikes to the head in boxing are typically much more than that in MMA. However, I plan on diving more into this throughout this next month.

My plan for progression on the project is to get 1-2 pages written over the weekend, and then progressively chip away at the remaining pages for the remainder of the time. My main concern is the amount of free time I will have to work on the project over the weekend, because I work basically the entire weekend, and I will likely have other assignments to worry about as well. However, if I don't get as much done as I would like, it's not much of an issue, because there is (thankfully) so much remaining time for the project.
